The Creekside Church Homeschool Co-op is here! We’re bringing homeschool families together for community, biblical teaching, and supplemental learning in a Christ-centered environment. Explore the information below to learn more about our current session and how your family can participate.

Fall 2026 Session

November 2, 9, 16, and 23, 2026

Mondays from 10:30am-3pm. Families are encouraged to come and stay for the day. This is not a drop off program.

10:30-10:45 – arrival, check in
10:45-11:30 - Community Time - A time for older kids and younger kids to work together on reading, memory verses, and such
11:30-12noon - Chapel (devotional, music maybe, object lesson, memory verse) *mandatory for participants
12-12:45 - Sack lunch & free time
12:55 - 2pm - Elementary & High School course offerings (nursery/not-yet-in preschool childcare will be available for the first 10 kids checked into the class; kids not in childcare need to remain under parent supervision)
2:05-3pm - Independent time to work on materials

Preschool & Elementary (PreK-5th grade) Course Offering

This session, we will be offering one preschool-elementary (PreK-5th grade) option. These kids will hear a read aloud each week and complete related hands on activities. There will be several activity options available each week to accommodate the range of kids in this class. Kids of these grade levels will be required to participate in this course.

Youth (6th-12th grade) Course Offering

This session, we are offering a cooking class for our 6th-12th graders. There will be an additional shopping list for kids participating in this course. We are finalizing that list and will send out as soon as we can. Youth will learn how to make a few baked goods, but also some kitchen science! Youth enrolled in the co-op will be required to participate in this course.

Purpose

The Creekside Church Homeschool Cooperative (CCHC) exists as a ministry of Creekside Church to partner with parents as they disciple their children. We believe God has entrusted parents with the primary responsibility of raising their children in the knowledge and instruction of the Lord, and the local church is called to come alongside families with encouragement, biblical teaching, community, and opportunities for spiritual growth.

Everything we do flows from the mission of Creekside Church:

Creekside Church will proclaim Christ crucified, buried, and risen; will make disciples who are abiding in Jesus, being transformed by Jesus, and are on mission with Jesus; and will glorify God in everything.

Creekside Church Homeschool Co-Op will proclaim Christ crucified, buried, and risen through each session offered. Every class, activity, relationship, and conversation points students and families to the work of Jesus. Rather than separating education from our Biblical beliefs, we are providing connections between education and God. All learning will be viewed through the lens of the Bible.

Creekside Church Homeschool Co-Op will make disciples who are abiding in Jesus, being transformed by Jesus, and are on mission with Jesus. Sessions will encourage spiritual disciplines, demonstration of the fruit of the Spirit, and for participants to serve the local church and/or missions. Additionally, the Co-Op will exist to provide community as we make disciples.

Creekside Church Homeschool Co-Op will glorify God in everything by striving to serve the Lord through program excellence.

Participants

CCHC is open for families that use homeschooling as their primary education method. Families do not need to attend Creekside, but do need to support and uphold the Statement of Faith at Creekside Church. Kids that are completing preschool-12th grade in a homeschool setting can participate. Younger siblings can attend, but are not considered participants.

Where

CCHC will primarily use the Creekside Kids dedicated space. The families should use the Family Entrance (which will be locked at a specific time). If families arrive after the Family Entrance is locked, they will need to use the main entrance. The Kids Chapel will be the primary meeting space, additional rooms can be requested, as needed and available.

Additional details

Leadership Team: The leadership of this co-op includes Creekside's Director of Kids Discipleship and 3-5 families that attend Creekside and homeschool their kids. For the Fall 2026 session, this includes Elisabeth Jacobson, Carrie Hufford, Amanda Cottle, and Elise Manolas. Feel free to reach out to them directly or through this form.

Families
- Not a drop off event, one parent must remain on campus
- Must serve the co-op in some capacity each week they attend.
  - Members of our church can teach and serve as roster supervisors and monitors. (These positions help ensure that kids are in the room they are scheduled to be in).
  - *Non-members of our church can request to learn about the process about becoming vetted to teach.
  - Non-members of our church help with clean up, set up, tear down, etc.

Teachers
- Do not need to have kids in the Co-Op.
- Need to be a member of Creekside Church
  - *Non-members of our church can request to learn about the process about becoming vetted to teach.

Kids
- Preschool through 12th grade
  - Not just preschool age, but parents are actually providing preschool lessons at home
- Younger siblings can attend, but need to remain under direct parent supervision. If the parent is serving, the younger sibling needs to remain with the parent.

Curriculum
- This co-op is not based on a single curriculum. Rather this is a supplemental and/or enrichment program to the curriculum that the parents use with their kids at home. In other words, our class offerings do not require specific reading, writing, or math curriculum. Additionally, some of the classes may not cover traditional reading, writing, and math.

Budget
- $10-25/child/session to offset costs for paper, typically offered craft supplies, background checks, cleaning supplies, etc. Must be paid upfront. No scholarships or family discounts. Families are encouraged to seek enrollment in an allotment program, if assistance is needed. Creekside can provide receipts, if needed. We do not guarantee reimbursement by any allotment program.
  - Craft supplies: the closet typically has glue, paper, markers, crayons, pipe cleaners etc available
  - Supplies for knitting (for example) would not be covered under this fee
- Additional classes can incur a cost for families. We will try to provide a supply list to families for those classes so they can shop directly. We may be able to offer a package where they can register for and we provide the materials too.
- No refunds.

Protection of Kids
- To help us keep track of children during community time, children will receive a sticker when they check in, and a matching roster will help our team know which children are present. Our team will use the roster to verify attendance and help ensure children remain in the designated gathering space. Children should remain with their parent or guardian during this time unless they are participating in a designated, supervised activity or the roster supervisor is alerted that the parent is in a different part of the building (e.g., with another child, volunteering).
