Pneuma: The Fruit of the Spirit - Part 3

Nov 23, 2025    Mike Garner

This message concludes a 12-week series on the Holy Spirit by examining the final three attributes of the fruit of the Spirit: faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These qualities represent markers of a maturing disciple who walks in step with the Holy Spirit. Faithfulness is defined as steadfast dependability demonstrated through long obedience in the same direction. Gentleness is not weakness but strength under submission, exemplified perfectly in Christ's response during His arrest and crucifixion. Self-control is Spirit-enabled mastery over desires and impulses that guards all other spiritual fruit. Together, these three attributes anchor, temper, and guard believers, revealing the deep work of the Holy Spirit in transforming ordinary people into the image of Jesus Christ through supernatural power and daily surrender.
