When Fear Speaks Louder

1 Samuel 27–31

After years of running, David allows fear and exhaustion to speak louder than what God has promised and seeks security among the Philistines. His choices lead him into compromise and an increasingly tangled life, yet God remains faithful even while David struggles to trust Him. At David’s lowest point, he returns to the LORD, finds his strength in Him, and once again seeks His direction. In the end, David discovers that God’s promise was never in danger—even when David’s faith wavered, God remained faithful.
